On behalf of everyone at Drama Inc, our hearts go out to all those that are impacted by COVID-19–and to those who are on the frontlines every day helping to keep us safe. The global spread of this pandemic is affecting every one of us. The safety and health of our community, including our loyal students/actors, and dedicated teachers, coaches, tapers and interns, is always of the utmost importance to us. Therefore, we wanted to share an update on how Drama Inc. is responding.
No one working at the studio has tested positive for COVID-19. In an effort to protect our community, we have decided to close all our physical doors for in-person classes. As of now, we are planning to reopen early June. Because the situation is complex and evolving rapidly, our plans may change. If they do, we’ll let you know.
While we’ll miss seeing you in the halls at 650 Hamilton, we are working hard to switch over many of our classes to virtual offerings, and you can always take advantage of skype coachings, virtual one on ones/career counseling, demo reel/clip editing with Back to One Creative, and even headshots with C Dyer Photography. We hope to be a continuing source of training and community in this difficult time.
Stay safe, folks. Stay informed. Breathe. We’ll all get through this together!
We have been monitoring the Coronavirus situation very closely and have decided to push our proposed June 1st blanket re-opening.
Instead, we will conduct a very soft opening bringing back one of our classes while continuing our full array of virtual class offerings through the month of June. (and of course, Drama Inc. Online courses are available as well)
At this point, we think July 6th (Dates subject to change) will be more appropriate to begin the next phase, bringing back more in-person classes and taping appointments. The health of our staff and students/clients is our number one priority.
