Having a strong working knowledge of basic improv skills is vital for any actor. Introduce yourself to (or review) the basic tenets of improvisation and stagecraft, then apply these techniques to creative storytelling. This class will prepare you for improvising with anyone anywhere, creating honest, in-the-moment performances. Learn listening, give and take, and stretch your character skills in a made up world.

You will learn a clear concise, process to quickly break down your text/scene/script a variety of memorization techniques to help develop your own process physical & mental relaxation techniques & confidence builders to change that nervous energy into excitement

This class will give you the tools to break down the sides, research the project, memorize and make strong choices in a short amount of time. Each week you’ll receive a script with a quick turnaround time for submission. You’ll also learn some basic tips for taping at home.

The Viewpoints technique is perfect for the actor who wants to get out of the head and into the body. It’s an energizing movement method designed to teach you to follow your impulses, free yourself from judgment, and make bold choices

This Level 2 class encourages actors to use physicality and their scene partners to deepen the internal life of their characters. Through a deeper exploration of the Viewpoints movement and voice technique, actors will learn to use their bodies to tell the story, build strong characters, and create relationships.

Note: Prior Viewpoints experience / training is required to take this class.

10 Good Pages is an introductory screenwriting class with the goal of helping writers develop a practical toolkit for short and feature film writing. Whether you’re a beginner or more experienced writer looking to tackle a specific film project, this course will give you the time and space to apply and experiment with writing techniques for the big and small screen.

The key to your success as an actor is “Living TRUTHFULLY under imaginary circumstances”. How can we accomplish that?
We believe it starts with the Meisner Technique and understanding its key factors of being in the moment, listening, freely being able to use your imagination, and letting yourself be affected truthfully by the other human in front of you.
This class is a prerequisite to our full 6 Month Meisner and Movement Intensive.
