IP: Character Work - WED DAY

Dive in and deepen your character development while exploring working moment-to-moment in your scene-work . If you enjoy making discoveries, sharpening your acting impulses, and enriching your emotional life in scene-work, this class is for you.

Scenes and partners will be assigned on the first day of class and over the next month, we will dive into the scenes primarily using methods developed by Sanford Meisner.

Actors will work on: 

• Adapting to a scene partner 

• Trusting and following impulses 

• Mining the script for specificity 

• Breaking down beats moment-to-moment 

• Deepening character work 

• Enhancing emotional connection to the script and character
